Singapore MTV Studio Tour

Yes, i am back! Where go? Emm... actually i won a trip to go for the Singapore MTV Studio tour last week. We depart on thursday and come back on friday, very short trip anyway. I am not as excited as others i guess, coz i don't really watch MTV channel, not said very attractive place for me. But, since it's a 2D1N tour with hotel accommodation and meal, why not!

Singapore is really a happening place to celebrate christmas, the decoration still really nice. It's really attractive in night.

Since the main objective for this tour is to visit MTV Studio, I have to talk more for that experiece la right? We have 14 winners for this tour, and it's all young and friendly people. MTV studio is located at The Atrium @ Orchard, quite near to our hotel "Grand Central Hotel" and is on Orchard road anyway.

When we arrived, that is a short briefing and after that we got chance to visit to the studio, production room, audio room, editing room and their office. Alrights, i will said it really worth to go after all these visiting. And most interesting part was when we have chance to do recording for the Pop In Show with VJ Utt. Meeting him in personal is really the most memorable moment for this tour. He is nice and cute guy, and very friendly also.

Best Friend Wedding

Last weekend is my dear's wedding day. On saturday morning we arrived at the apartment suite she rent to prepare for the morning ceremony. It was simple but joyful morning, we back to their house about 2pm. Here we are, let's share some lovely photo.

My Mid-Autumn Celebration

This year mid-autumn actually quite quiet, nothing special, we are just having our family dinner. But actually not bad also, as it's on tuesday, working day can have whole family gather together for dinner since my brother work and stay at Klang. It's glad that everyone is here.

But weekend did go to my best friend's new house to celebrate. Previous years she always come to our place to celebrate, nowaday she have own family and own house, so our turn to go her place lar...

Potluck with Friend

Alright, long time not updates here... So, let's report something happen last weekend here.

Last weekend we have a potluck at Caryn's house, and this time, I am in-charge of some refreshing salad. We start at 5pm, but because Mic and me also have second appointment after that, we left about 7pm. Everytime we have a few new dishes, this time also the same. I like this kind of event actually, coz everyone will bring something they made.

We are happily chit chat and dicussing about the recipe, and i am so enjoyed the time with them.

超級星光大道 - 總決賽

我看了總決賽, 真的很驚訝, 他們是那麼的有能力有實力的一群年輕人, 唱歌都唱到你心裡面去了...

林宥嘉大膽的唱了冷門的 Radio Head 的歌, Creep. 雖然我也沒怎麼聽過, 不過他的表演方式, 真的讓人目不轉睛. 雖然原唱或許更好, 可是他用他自己的風格表達, 技巧有了, 加上他整個人都很迷幻, 覺得他真的很棒! 喜歡他說要選这些歌的理由, 就是因為歌好聽, 想要讓更多人聽到, 很有想法的年輕人. 實至名歸啊, 唱陳奕迅的Last Order就真的像一個精采的表演而不是比賽那麼簡單了, 把歌曲的意境都表達出來, 雖然我有點覺得他好像在游魂, 呵呵...

潘裕文, 我其實還蠻喜歡他的聲音, 很有味道, 很溫柔很有感情. 他們要說他是情歌王子, 我真的不反對, 他唱歌時候那個專注和感情的表達, 讓我很感動. 他選的歌曲也是蠻冷門的, 可以看得出他還真的是喜歡林志炫的歌曲. 這次唱了袁惟仁的"走了嗎"還有林志炫的"鳳凰花開的路口", "走了嗎"我覺得他唱得很好, 就這樣. 如果有興趣, 不妨去聽聽他和林志炫合唱的"離人", 搞到我現在很喜歡这首歌,哈!

November 22, 2006 - This is really a very memorable day for me and of course for my best friend, Jennifer. She is my best friend since college, an intelligent and nice girl. She is having her registration ceremony at JPN, Putrajaya. I am so glad i have been invite and attend the ceremony.

Morning around 9pm we depart from Looi's house and heading to JPN at Putrajaya. We took about 1 hour to arrived there. After that they take the number and waiting for the registration ceremony. While waiting, of course we will not waste time by keep taking photo with the couple. They are so happy and we all so excited to see them finally register.

Ceremony when smooth and they become husband and wife officially around 11 plus, and all the guest invited for a lunch with the couple after the ceremony. We are having our lunch at Putrajaya Seafood Restaurant at Taman Botani. We have a great time talking to each other and having a nice lunch there, thanks for the couple. Thanks my friend.

Bali trip

I just went for my Bali trip last week, it was quite rush but anyway i have go at least once to this beautiful and peace place.

First day (11 Sept) we suppose to board about 4:40pm but the flight was delay and after 3 hours flight, we reach Bali Denpasar Airport around 9:30pm. It was really a long day, we even can't get to eat McDonald because of their system down before boarding. Anyway, we have our Coffee Bean dinner at LCCT. Upon arriving, we check out and looking for the hotel's people pick us up and towards our hotel - Bounty Hotel. It is located in Poppies Lane II. We all so hungry, so once we drop our luggage, we walk out to get have our dinner. Since it's quite late, we walk along the road and found only left bar or restaurant still open. Finally, we are too tired of searching, we have our first dinner at KFC.

Second day, we decided to go have a relaxing walk at Kuta beach. We just do nothing and watching people surfing. After take some photo and walk along the beach, Jo and her family want to start shopping around the Kuta town, so we leave the beach.

Me and Mic were tired and decided not to continue shopping, so we split to 2 group. We go to have a walk in the town, visit the monumen of Bali bomb and also have a tea time in one of the significant cafe restaurant. It's so hot during the day, we have our cold smoothies and relax in the cafe. We have to re-group during 4pm for a trip to visit famous Pura Uluwatu for the sunset session and also dinner at Jimbaran. It was nice place for sunset in Uluwatu, it take us about 1 hour to reach there. That place got a lot of monkey, so you have to be very careful to take care your belongings.

Sunset very nice in Uluwatu, we stay there until the sun is gone. We take a lot of photo there, really feel happy and relax there. After that, we go for Jimbaran to have our dinner. The price is not cheap for the seafood there, because this is tourist place. However, we have our dinner here to enjoy the seaside dinner moment. Food just okay, not much special and it's expensive. We back to hotel to rest because the next day we will go for sightseeing trip and moving in to Ubud for another night.

Third day, we wake up early to have our breakfast and waiting for the driver to come pick us up. We rent a car with driver for our day trip this time, it cost us about 450,000 rupiah for 12 hours usage. We first arrived at Ubud, about 1.5 hours journey. We are suppose to check in to one of the bungalow reference by friend, but our driver just don't know the place. So, after searching for a while, we decided to stay at Masih Bungalow for the night. It was clean and with basic facilities, so it was consider quite nice in Ubud town. Somemore, it cost us only 70,000 rupiah for 2 persons.

After settled down, we go for our lunch at the famous Babi Guling as lunch. It was really delicious, juicy meat with superb chillis. I like the chillis very much. After lunch, we depart for a volcano trip, that is to see the volcano at Kintamani. It take us another 1.5 hour to reach the village. We can see the Mt. Batur and Lake Batur from this small village. Nice view and we again take a lot of photo there. After that, we have to rush to Tanah Lot for sunset again. That will take us another 1.5 hour, so we sacrified the Tampaksiring tour because not enough time.

Arriving at Tanah Lot is about 5pm, and that is some time for us to walk around the market there before arrived to the Pura Tanah Lot. But we do not have good luck today, the sun seems cover by the crown. We just take some photo and again walking around the Pura. But i still enjoy the scene there, it is a nice place. I saw a couple having their wedding photo session there, and i think is very sweet of them. So, i take a photo of them.

After that, we leaving and back to Ubud town. This time, i have a dinner place in mind where i got that from others opinion their spare ribs and tuna steak are very nice. The driver really not that familiar for that place, so finally we find the way ourselves by following the map. Even all tired of sitting in the car for almost half day and try to just eat somewhere else, i still don't want to let go a chance to try that restaurant. Luckily we found it and try the dish there. It was really nice, you have to try that if you have chance, it is Naughty Nuri's Warung, just opposite the Neka Art Muzium, Ubud. It start raining after our dinner, so we can only go back and rest in our bungalow room.

Last day, we split to 2 group again, jo's sister and family going to shopping again and me, mic and jo go for a spa session. It was just nice, not so special, but relaxing. After spa, we go for shopping and also lunch at one of the restaurant there. Time pass by so fast, time to depart to airport. I don't really think that i got enough time to see the place and also shopping. Leaving Bali around 6pm that day, but still flight delay again, this time i arrived at LCCT already 12:10am the next day. Sigh... i was back to my sweet home at 2 something.

Anyway, that was really not enough time, so i will go again next time. I will backpacked there, coz it will be easier and cheaper way to travel in Bali.

My Souvenir

Hahahahaha... Today i received a souvenir from my best friend, she have been to Bangkok for a business trip 2 weeks before. She pass me the souvenir through my sister, so when i got it today, i was so surprise. Even she told me she got something for me when she is back, but i still very surprise to get it today.

Guess what is that? It is a glass elephant from Honey Glass Handicraft, Bangkok Thailand. That is purple blue color elephant, i feel that elephant really elegant. Haha...

I was so excited to take the photo of this gift and wanna to share with all of my friend. I will keep this nicely, sure i will not use it because i afraid i will break it.

Nippon Tei

We have been shopping in Time Square last weekend and feel really tired about 3pm afternoon. So, we decided to have a tea time in one of the restaurant at the cinema floor, because we would like to go for movie after that. After thinking and searching, finally we choose Nippon Tei to try.

Since is about 3pm already, we should not eat too many things else later dinner cannot eat. So, we decided to order one set of Tempura Soba, and also each of us order a hand roll sushi. I have my favourite soft shell crab and Mic ordered an Unagi to try. As for drink, we both have the mocha milk shake.

When the Soba serve on the table, we found that we make a right decision because the Soba really very nice. It is as nice as the Shinbashi we try in Singapore last time. But may be we are too hungry, we just start to eat our Soba, so no photo for that.

But, let's see some photo of the hand roll and our mocha shake, all very nice. Of course, this is quite expensive restaurant. All together we spent about RM60, so, i will have to earn more money if i really want to go frequence, haha...

Potluck gathering...

I was really long time away from this blog space... sorry about that my friends, just forgot to update.

Last saturday, i have attend a potluck gathering at Puchong with Mic. This is the gathering with Mic's ex-colleage and also my college mate's colleage... Complicated? Not really, just that my friend is joining my sister's ex-company, and now she is still with the company while my sister is already move on to another company. Ok, enough for the intro, let's talk about the gathering.

The gathering is having at Hung Mei's house, and she is no longer with that company also... :P We been there for 2 times previously, but Puchong really not my favorite place, i don't know how to find the place... Anyway, we got to that place finally, even a bit late and also we did take a wrong road at the beginning. Some of them already leave, coz they start quite early, about 5pm, and we arrived about 7pm since Mic's class finish about 6pm.

I got to see Aun Ni's baby and hold him in my arm for twice, he is so cute... haha... But Aun Ni and Caryn is leaving after we arrived about 15 minutes later (if not mistaken lar...). We bring our KK and Kuching trip's photo to show to them. It was wonderful time to share our photo and experience of the trip.

Happy time just pass by very fast, everyone is leaving just a while after we arrived... :O

I like to attend the gathering they have, they are all very friendly and nice person, and i think this is really a good practice to meet everyone once a while to catch up with each others.

Kuching Trip

Me and my sister have bring our parent travel to Kuching last few days for a holiday. This time we target on nature and wild life tour, so we decided to go for those animals and national park during the visit.

First day arrived at Kuching, it was raining. So, we can only walk around the shop in town and also the shopping center there. We book our tour service with a tour agency in Holiday Inn Hotel. We will go to Semenggoh Orang Utan, Crocodile Farm and Bidayuh Long House in private tour. At night, we go to Top Spot Seafood Center for dinner. The seafood in Kuching really cheap compare with West Malaysia. We have fish, prawn, scallop, lobster... delicious...

Second day, we depart 8am from hotel and go to the Semenggoh Orang Utan Center. Upon arrival, the person in change told us several orang utan is coming out and swing around nearby. We are so lucky to see one of it come so close to get food from the center's staff. In fact, the orang utan do not appear at the feeding area.

After that, we depart to crocodile farm. This crocodile farm have a mini zoo so we can see others animal as well from there. As stated in broucher, there should be some hornbills can be found, but as told by the tour agency, due to hornbills is protected animals, the Forestry of Sarawak instruct all hornbills cannot kept in cage but have to let them go back to forest. So, we dont' see any in the cage during this visit. After watching the crocodile show, we leave and have our lunch nearby the crocodile farm. After lunch, we depart to Bidayuh Long House to visit the real long house resident. We also bring to the Beruk, a place for them to have meeting and store the cutted head.

Third day, we plan to go Bako National park on our own in stead of follow tours. Tour services is really expensive that will cost me RM250. We take taxi to the Bako Village and then hired a boat to go into the National Park. This national park is only accessable by boat. It cost me RM40 per trip. Since our main purpose is to go for the famous Sea Stack, we need to pay RM30 more to go there by boat. It was very nice whether that we are allow to board to the sea stack for photograph. The Sea Stack is really beautiful and i take a lot photo there. We need to walk for about 2 hours to back to the park headquater after that. Anyway, we only spent RM100 on boat and RM80 for taxi for this trip, which i think is cheaper compare to take a tour service.

After back from Bako national park, we straights away travel to Damai beach. We will stay one night at Damai Beach to relax. We walk around and go swiming at the beach and just relax for the rest of the day. We have a wonderful rest time after the jungle walk at Bako and then we feel relaxing at the beach. We check-out on the next day and back to town for city tour.

I have meet up a friend and she bring us for city walk and also to try some local snack. After buying souvenior and having our dinner, she sent us to airport as well. We leaving Kuching around 10pm and it was just relaxing and nice trip for us.

Mt. Kinabalu Trip

I have finally go for my Mt. Kinabalu Climbing Trip from 16 April to 19 April, 2006. It was wonderful and meaningful trip for me, I will never forget about it.

16 Apr, We depart from LCCT with AK5104 at 9:35am and arrived at Kota Kinabalu around 12:30 noon. After having our lunch at local restaurant, we travel in a Proton Saga and transfer to Kinabalu PHQ to check in at Hill Lodge Hotel for the night. We are quite lucky this time because Hill Lodge is under renovation, our room been upgraded to Liwagu Suite. :-D

After check-in, we proceed to Poring Hot Spring. Before arrived at Poring Hot Spring, we stop by Kundasang for a quick shopping and buy some honey. We go for a canopy walk and let our leg have a hot spring bath before our mountain climbing at Poring Hot Spring. It was just relax for all of us. After that, we also do some shopping at the stall nearby for some souvenier. On our way back to hotel, may be we are too heavy :D, unexpectedly we have a flat tyre :O, that make us have to change tyre in the dark. :-

After changed tyre, we all already very hungry and once arrived at the restaurant we feel the food so nice. After dinner, we quickly back to hotel to repack our luggage to reduce our load on the next day's climbing. We can leave our bag at the reception area store room with RM10 per bag. It is expensive, but no choice as we don't want to bring too many things for climbing. After re-packing, we still bring about 11kg in our bagpack, and we plan to hire a porter for that. (Porter fees is about RM6.60 per kg) Our room upgraded to suite but so sad we don't really able enjoy the facilities coz we need to wake up early next morning. :-(

17 Apr, we wake up at 6am and have all our luggage packed. We reach reception area of PHQ about 7am and leave our luggage at their store room. After that, we go for breakfast at Balsom Cafe and also collect the packed lunch as our lunch during the climb to Laban Rata. Our tour guide try to arrange an experience mountain guide-James for us, but it seems that we cannot get James because he is on the mountain yesterday. When we back to the reception area, we found out our mountain guide is James. Anyway, we start our climb around 8:30am towards the 6km journey to Laban Rata.

During the first 2KM walk, we still feel relax and enjoy. We hiked and talk and rest at each shelter. We bring a lot of food but we don't really take it. Mic have her leg twisted afterward and we have to slow down the pace so that her leg will not going worst. We reach Laban Rata around 2pm and we all really very hungry after 5 1/2 hours walking. After lunch, we go for a bath, the water really cold. We go to bed early at around 4pm :P, it's a bit early but we need to make sure everyone have enough sleep. Anyway, i really not able to sleep coz many people walk around and the noise is too easy to come into the room...

18 Apr, we wake up at 1am and have our breakfast (can we call it breakfast?) and get ready in our warm clothes, glove, head lamp, chocolate bar and water. We get together and meet the mountain guide around 2am, but anyway we can only start the climb at 2:30am. James advice us to walk slowly to avoid altitus attack. Around 3:30am, we arrived at the only Hut for the last 2.5km, Sayat-sayat Hut at 3,668m height.

After a short rest at sayat-sayat hut, we continues our journey toward the Low's Peak. I feel tired after another hour walk, the road is long and i can see the low's peak, but it's so near yet so far... About 5:30am, we are very near to the low's peak. I was really really tired and feel that may be not able to make it on the low's peak. Time go so slow and i walk so slow as well, suddently James told me it's going to sunrise. Since then, i suddently like filled with energy and my mind keep telling me i will make it to the peak for the sunrise. 6am, finally i get to the low's peak and the sunrise was so wonderful. We make it to the peak for the sunrise. :D

After take some photo, we decide to leave the peak and back to Laban Rata. We visit one of the lake nearby and take some photo again. We leave the peak around 6:30am, and reach Sayat-sayat about 8am. We proceed back to Laban Rata and reach there around 9am. After breakfast at Laban Rata, we pack our luggage and leave Laban Rata around 10am descent back to PHQ. We take about 5 hours 15 minute to reach Timpohon Gate. It's really tough journey and the leg seems not belong to me at the last 1.5km. I just hope that i can fly down to PHQ. We collect our color certificate and meet up the tour guide for transfer back to KK.

This is a wonderful trip and we are very lucky that it's not raining and no chilly wind during the climb. If that is a chance in future, i will still want to go again. But this time, i promise myself i will enjoy it more. To enjoy it more, i need to improve my stamina and be fit enough. So, i can do it, you also can do it. Ganbateh...

Customer Service in Malaysia

I really want to said something for the customer service in Malaysia.

I don't know why but it just very different between our country's customer service with some of the oversea country. I have been visit to Thailand lately, their customer service really make me feel comfortable and pleasant. Not only hotel's customer service, even their night market's stall owner give me that feeling.

I am karaoke lover, i always like to go singing in one of the KTV in KL. The customer service when first they started their service here is good, but lately i really found their customer service do not show their professional. May be they think their KTV is famous and everyone like to go there, so ignore the good service they should provide!

I really hope everyone in service business take it seriously, we don't ask for very very good service, but a comfortable way to solve the problem...

My Lovely Sam-Soon

My lovely sam-soon is now aired on 8TV, and i think i want to say something about this korean series. I watch this series because someone recommended it to me, and i still take so long to start watch it. In fact, i just finished this series last week.

I like Sam-soon, she is a very good person. She is charming and because she don't know she is actuall a charming person make her more charming. Her spirit allow her to travel alone to france to finish her study and become a successful baker. I will said Sam-soon sometime really lack of courtesy, but she is straightforward person, not pretend to be a genius. She is what she is.

I am quite doubt on that story actually, coz i always think that korean guy will not be so soft, how can he be so soft sometimes. This is a comedy also, coz a lot of scene make me can't stop laughing. Some scene just like in comic.

So, i like this series and hope u like it also. Have fun!

Wings Musicafe, Times Walk KL

Wings Musicafe, I come across their advertisement sometimes last year. And one day, while thinking of going where for dinner with my lovely sister, we decide to go try out their food. Wings is a music cafe, it is a place where you can have food and drink and also song. They have several singer will allow u dedicated song every night. Every night will have different singer, normally.

First time i been there, we are attracted by their guitarist. He is really professional and his performance show he must be playing guitar for so long. We enjoy our dinner time there and i am more than happy to listen to their singer's performance. I keep pass them the song i wish to listen, of course not all the song will be sing but coz i normally choose those hit song, so easily get them to sing for me. Ha... people not only sing for me, but i just want to tell myself in this way.

Good experiece make me and my sister like this cafe. So, i celebrate my friend's birthday there. We have a wonderful time there, but the singer on that day not very very nice, just ok for us. May be our expectation too high? Anyway, we don't see the guitarist we meet before, then i decide to celebrate my birthday on the day i assume he will be there. But, I was wrong again, he is not on duty as well that day. Finally on the next day, i go there again and can see his performance again. Basically i am not very sure how to justify the guitarist's performance, it just show that he know many song and ways to play the song. Of course, for me, the singer will be the main character should perform well because i am there to listen to the song they will sing.

About the food, emm... that i will say normal lor, coz western food just that normal taste, no extra ordinary for me. You should try on your own if you will going to have your time there. I still recommeded this cafe to you, if you like to go have a celebration in a group of people or even you want to be alone.

Ok, my friend complain i only have a blog in chinese and she can't read any, so here i am.
